VAZ 2109 and 21099 had modifications with identical technical characteristics.

In terms of geometric cross-country ability, the 2109 has a slight advantage due to shorter body overhangs. But driving over potholes on the 21099 is more problematic due to the long stern.
Comfortable and cozy
The interior of both Samaras is identical. It is worth mentioning in advance that the quality of finishing materials is far from ideal - hard, echoing plastic everywhere. Of course, plastic made it possible to reduce the weight of cars, but it deprived VAZ models of that touch of luxury for which the Zhiguli of the classic family is famous. At the same time, the ergonomics are good and you don’t have to be distracted from the road thanks to the compact layout of the controls.
Tuning the lighting system
First of all, drivers change the standard incandescent lamps in their headlights to LED ones, since they last at least 5 years and consume less energy. In addition, LED lamps turn on faster and are very ergonomic. Some go even further and install not LED, but xenon lamps.

This explains its great popularity among car tuning enthusiasts. Like all previous models of this family, the car's interior initially had a so-called low panel.
The instrument cluster on the early 99s had a more modest configuration. Subsequently, the car was equipped with a panel, the overall dimensions of which not only made it more capacious in appearance, but also made it possible to place the speakers of the acoustic system in it. At the same time, the creaking in the car has become much more, almost all car enthusiasts note this.
The car's ground clearance is 15 cm. This is quite enough for a comfortable ride on domestic roads. Of course, this is less than crossovers and especially SUVs, but the 99th also weighs much less. The vehicle's ground clearance can be increased slightly by using larger diameter discs. However, you should not abuse this - the car's handling deteriorates.
