And also all sorts of small things, without which the suspension cannot be assembled: upper spring cups, bumpers, covers, nuts/washers.

The long-awaited vacation has arrived, I drive the car into the garage and “start, attention, repair”:

First of all, I assembled the bump stops and covers of the front pillar:

Then I took the front left strut and pumped it, completely pulling out and lowering the rod 3 times. Next I needed spring pullers:

This was my main MISTAKE:

The rack from the Priora and the support from the Viburnum are not compatible. Why did I decide to choose viburnum supports? you ask - the answer is that they have an offset rod axis to increase the caster angle. From the very beginning we should have taken struts + springs from viburnum, I don’t think they are any worse. Then there would be no problems. I was led by the fact that the VAZ 2114 SUPERAUTO had suspension from Priora, and not from Kalina.

But what can you do, the money has been spent (RUB 3 thousand), we need to collect it somehow. I had to slowly unscrew the hole in the rack support. I turned it around and the rod went in with minimal clearance. Now a new problem:

The length of the threaded part of the rod is not enough to completely screw on the self-locking rod.
nut. The thread of the rod does not reach the sealing plastic of the nut, but is completely inserted into the thread. Theoretically, in terms of mechanical strength, the thread is sufficient, but the nut may unscrew. Therefore, after final assembly, I tightened the nuts.
