Body
In most cases, Lada Vesta owners have no complaints about the quality of the paintwork, much less the protection of body elements from corrosion. But some of its parts may still not withstand the influence of the external environment, namely:
- Roof, because it has the least protection against rust.
- Front bumper paint that is chipped off by gravel. Fortunately, this element is made of plastic and is not subject to corrosion, but its peeling appearance clearly does not decorate it. The rear bumper coating at the points of contact with the trunk lid also wears out quickly.

Bosch, in turn, is trying to quickly respond to the microchip crisis. A state-of-the-art semiconductor manufacturing plant opened in Dresden in July, six months ahead of schedule. The investment in this venture amounted to approximately one billion euros - the largest single investment in the entire more than 130-year history of the company.
However, the chips that began to be produced at the new plant were initially installed in Bosch power tools. They began to be produced for the automotive industry only in September, albeit three months earlier than planned.
“Every additional chip we produce will help in the current situation,” said Robert Bosch GmbH board member Harald Kröger.
Transmission, engine and its systems
- No breakdowns of the VAZ-21129 engine (1.6 l, 106 hp) were recorded during the entire period of endurance testing. The power unit was serviced according to technical regulations.
- The fastenings of the decorative engine cover broke several times (see How to modify the engine cover).
- A slight chafing of the hose by the plastic cover of the engine was noticed (see What to do if hoses/pipes under the hood chafe).
- The heater radiator leaked.
- The muffler burned out.
- All muffler cushions (gingerbread) were torn 2 times.
- After 15,000 kilometers, 1st, 2nd and 3rd gears began to resist and were difficult to engage (the rod blocking block was stuck in its hole). Towards the end of the tests, the manual gearbox from Renault (JH3) began to howl with bearings, and it had to be repaired.
What are the conditions of the program from AvtoVAZ?

IMPORTANT! We do not accept cars for trade-in, the sale of which may cause problems in the future. That is, you cannot hand over a car in poor condition, a vehicle older than 10 years, a rarity, or a vehicle without documents under this program.

Exchange procedure for the program
The exchange does not take much time. To begin with, you should agree in advance with the car dealership on the date of the car assessment. As soon as the inspection is carried out, the car owner is informed at what price the salon is ready to accept his car (and whether he is ready to do so at all). If the conditions suit the owner, then you can choose a new car and begin drawing up a contract.
Requirements for the car
In order to take advantage of the trade-in program, the car must meet the following requirements:
- his age should not exceed 10 years. Firstly, a car older than 10 years is considered old and its subsequent service life will be short. In many countries, the use of such cars is completely prohibited. Secondly, the model of such a vehicle is no longer relevant and it will be difficult to sell it. Thirdly, the technical and external condition of a ten-year-old car is unlikely to be ideal;
- The car should not have any external defects, such as dents or rust. In addition, if the car has airbrushing, the dealer may also refuse the service;
- the vehicle must be in good working order, without technical defects, breakdowns, etc.;
- The salon will only accept a marketable car, the make and model of which is in demand among the population.
What documents are required?
In the attachment to the transaction application you must provide:
- Passport of a citizen of the Russian Federation, the owner of the car.
- Original PTS confirming the period of ownership of the car (at least 6 months).
- Original vehicle registration certificate (VRC).
- A copy of the vehicle’s passport with a record of the transfer of ownership to the buyer.
- A document issued by the traffic police authorities on the registration of a car for a given consumer (KUTS or a certificate, or a copy of the PTS certified by the original seal of the authorized body of the State Traffic Safety Inspectorate, or a copy of the PTS certified by a notary).
IMPORTANT! The client must receive from the dealer a purchase and sale agreement and a vehicle acceptance certificate. Drawing up an act is mandatory, since without it the transaction is not valid
Car registration
The main procedure that a vehicle is subject to is appraisal. The total amount is based on the state of the following components:
- make, model and equipment of the car;
- Production year;
- gearbox type;
- optional equipment;
- engine power;
- availability of a set of documents;
- mileage (when the mileage is more than 30-40 thousand, the cost of the car decreases for every ten);
- set of options;
- technical serviceability;
- presence of damage to the body and paintwork (for each scratch the cost is reduced).
For each item, points are given, which are converted into a monetary equivalent.
If the package of documents is complete and the parties to the transaction have no claims against each other, then registration of the car will take a minimum of time. A sales contract is drawn up for a new car, taking into account the trade-in discount and the funds paid in the form of a returned car.
IMPORTANT! Before signing an agreement with a car dealership, you need to make sure that you are signing a purchase and sale agreement, and not a service agreement, for example, to find a buyer for your car. You should carefully read all provisions specified in the document
