It happens that after the car is switched to emergency mode, the operation of the engine or other important components is blocked, which leads to the inability to use the vehicle for its intended purpose. Most often this happens due to a power failure in the alarm unit.

To restore its functionality, follow these steps:

Disconnect power to the vehicle, locate the main wire and inspect the adjacent wires that connect to it.
Among them you can see two cut wires connected to the remote control unit - these are exactly what the driver will need.
To restore the car's functionality, you need to disconnect the car alarm wiring and connect the cut wires.
After this, you need to return the power supply and wait 10-15 seconds for the system to reboot - everything should work.

In practice, there are cases when the car stops starting after putting it into emergency mode using the Valet button. Such a scenario indicates a serious error in the operation of the system, and it can occur for a variety of reasons - from damaged wires to a software failure. The driver gets into the car, activates and turns off the ignition system.
Within ten seconds after the last shutdown, the Valet button is pressed once.

Each instruction manual for a security alarm installed in a car contains a description of how to turn this service option on/off. So, if you wish, you can study this section and act accordingly.

But, as they say, everything happens in life and it may happen that either such a section is missing in the instructions, or, even worse, the instructions themselves are lost.

Then you should perform standard actions. Although each security system has individual characteristics, their main capabilities are usually common. Therefore, it is in principle possible to disable Valet, but it will not be as fast as we would like.

To exit this mode, do the following:

sit in the passenger compartment and again perform the steps described above with the ignition. Moreover, you need to act quickly, otherwise everything will have to start all over again;
determine the location of the Valet push-button switch (this should be known from the instructions, if not, then you must find out where it was installed);
after 10 seconds have passed after the ignition has been turned off, you need to press this button for 2 seconds and then release it;
Next, you should hear two or more short alarm beeps, the light emitting diode (LED) will turn on and off twice. Valet is disabled, car alarm is working.

Requirement of a PIN code

The “Valet” mode is not the only thing the service button controls. It is also used to disable security without a key fob: just open the door with the key, turn on the ignition and hold down the Valet button for two seconds. If the PIN code is not set by the owner, the car will be disarmed.

How to turn off different alarms

Despite the fact that the number of steps to disable the security transport system from different manufacturers is almost the same, there are nevertheless certain differences, which we will now introduce you to.
