Important! During the battery replacement process, we take care not to damage or lose the spring contact tabs that connect the positive batteries to the electronic board.

Problems after replacing the battery
Sometimes after replacing the battery in the key, the car “does not see” the key. This means that the program has gone wrong and the key needs to be reprogrammed. It's not difficult to do this.
We turn the ignition switch to position - 2 short stops four times. Next, set it to position - 0 and wait for the sound signal.
The signal will sound for about 10 seconds, after which you can program the key. To do this, you need to press any button on the key.

Another small note: the hinges of the purchased rod do not rotate properly in the cylinder and lock antennas, the rod flies when the ignition key is turned, so I flip the hinges from my own rod, since they are already designed for dozens or even hundreds of hood holes.
By the way, as I said, Ford does not sell the pull rod separately, but only with the lock lock number 1355231, at the moment it costs R3,000 per name, since I ask the Exist player that I don’t even want to look. How to disassemble the key
Replacing the battery in the Ford Focus 2 ignition key is the main reason for opening the key. In my photos I use a knife and a pen just to use as a pointer. And the former owner apparently used a knife to open the key and mutilated it.
To do the job, you will need a flathead screwdriver that is narrow enough to fit into the cell and has a blunt end. Insert it into the groove, press slightly inward and, in parallel, move the screwdriver straight away from you.
Do not use sharp objects to open the key; this will damage the lock.
The key itself and half of the upper case will separate from the case with the chip and battery.
And here is the tongue that we pressed down with a screwdriver and which fixes and holds together the two halves of the Ford Focus 2 ignition key (photo below, above the Ford emblem). When the halves are joined, it slides into a groove in the upper part of the second half of the case. The key capsule with a chip and battery is also divided into two halves. To do this, you need to squeeze one tab at a time from the sides of the capsule.

Turn the remote control upside down and remove the battery.

Use a screwdriver or knife to widen the gap around the perimeter of the key fob, disengaging the latches. Separate the two halves of the key fob.
Use a screwdriver to remove the battery from the socket. There are housing designs with an internal lid covering the battery. It should be removed using a thin knife blade.
Replace the battery with a new one. Reassemble the housing in reverse order. Press the lid and both halves to secure the latches.
