The next method of externally straightening dents differs in principle from those discussed; it is based on temperature differences. Such repairs are carried out using a hair dryer and a can of compressed air. Repairs begin by heating the surface of the defect, then immediately blowing it with a can of compressed air. A large temperature difference (more than 350 °C) leads to straightening of the dent.
