Is there auto start?

Initially, the Starline A64 alarm system does not have the option of automatic engine start. But it can be implemented by installing an additional special module from Starline M21 or M31.

Installation of these devices can lead to the following consequences:

  1. Starting the power unit will only be possible using a smartphone application, as well as by calling and sending messages. Using a standard communicator will not allow you to configure this function.

Technical capabilities of car alarms A62, A64 and A66

The main functions that these security systems provide:

  • data transmission at a frequency of 433.05 - 434.70 MHz over 128 radio channels;

  • the radius of the additional remote control without a monitor is 150 m;

Compared to the A62, the Starline A64 and A66 models have expanded functionality and smaller parts. Instead of a two-level shock sensor, they are equipped with a tilt sensor with position fixation on three axes, which signals when the car is lifted with a jack or moved on a tow truck. Also, A64 and A66 have a different design of key fobs, which are much smaller and lighter than those of A62.

How to install?

Installation Guide:

  1. The microprocessor module is mounted inside the car. It is not allowed to be installed in the luggage compartment or under the hood. It is advisable to choose a hidden place for installation. For example, behind the control panel or in the free space behind the center console.
  2. Depending on the chosen installation location, the plastic lining around the steering wheel or dashboard is dismantled. There is a temperature controller inside the microprocessor unit, so the device must be installed away from heat sources. If the unit may be exposed to moisture at the installation site, it must be installed with the connector facing down to prevent liquid from getting inside. Secure the device with screws or ties to prevent it from vibrating.
  3. The antenna module is fixed on the inner surface of the windshield (it must first be washed and degreased). There should be metal parts of the body no closer than 5 cm from the transceiver, this will ensure the best range of the communicator. Inside the antenna module housing there is a tilt and shock controller. To prevent the controller from operating without reason, it should not be placed on the plastic lining in the passenger compartment.
  4. An LED indicator is installed on the dashboard or center console. Its installation must be done so that when blinking the light bulb is visible from the street.
  5. A siren is being installed in the engine compartment. It should not be installed near the cylinder block or sources of moisture. The horn of the device is located downwards, this will prevent the accumulation of moisture inside. Choose a place for installation so that there is no access to the siren and its electrical circuits from under the bottom of the car. If you purchased a siren with a built-in battery (autonomous), then during installation you must ensure unobstructed access to its lock.
  6. The service button is mounted in the cabin. It is advisable to hide it; to do this, the key can be disguised as one of the bundles with standard wiring.
  7. After installing all the components, the electrical lines are laid under the plastic upholstery. When laying, please note that electrical circuits should be placed as far as possible from possible sources of interference. These include high-voltage cables, ignition coils, electronic devices, etc. After installation, wires should not come into contact with moving structural elements.

StarLine A61 autostart module

For the StarLine A61 anti-theft complex, the M31 module is the only opportunity to acquire the auto-start option for the power plant. But this is not the only advantage of this device. Along with the desired function of setting up remote start, the car owner also gets the opportunity to:
