  5. Press the button on the first key fob. A long CHIRP will sound. Synchronization of the communicator is completed.
  6. Program the remaining transmitters using the same algorithm.
  7. To exit recording mode, turn off the ignition or do not perform any actions for fifteen seconds.

How to install correctly?

In accordance with the installation manual, Panther systems are installed on vehicles with the on-board power supply disconnected, so the battery must be disconnected. You can also connect all alarm elements to a 12-volt power source in advance to make sure it is working.

Recommendations for placement and installation

Tips for the location and installation of alarm elements:

  1. The control unit is installed inside the car, in the most hidden place. For additional protection of the module from water and vibrations during movement, the device can be wrapped in cellophane and foam rubber. The block is placed with the block down to prevent drops of condensation from flowing down the wires onto the board. It is recommended to install the module behind the instrument cluster to ensure a minimum wiring length when connecting.
  2. A transceiver with an antenna and a built-in temperature sensor is installed on the car window. For installation, you need to use the rear window; if there is a protective film on the windshield, the latter can cause a shielding effect. The surface on which the transceiver is installed is cleaned and degreased in advance. Do not install the antenna near electronic equipment or metal devices, as this will reduce the range.
  3. The siren is located under the hood. The device must not be installed near the cylinder head or metal surfaces adjacent to it. The siren should be placed with the horn facing down to prevent moisture from accumulating inside.
  4. The impact sensor is mounted in the vehicle interior; it is recommended to place it in the central part of the body. During installation, it is necessary to ensure free access to the controller's adjusting elements.
  5. Additional regulators are installed in accordance with the recommendations specified in the service manual.
  6. The button to enter the service mode is located in the vehicle interior. It must be installed secretly.
  7. Limit switches are installed on moving body elements. Installation of triggers is not allowed in drains or places where moisture accumulates.

Laying and connecting wires

Laying of power lines should be done under the decorative cladding in the car interior. There should be no moving mechanisms or components at the installation site. To better protect the wires from rapid wear and tear, the electrical circuit can be wrapped with electrical tape.

If the vehicle is not equipped with central locking, you can install additional drive devices:

  • black-green and black-blue contacts are connected to “ground”, that is, any bolt screwed into the car body;
  • red-green and red-blue outputs must be connected directly to the battery or any electrical circuit where 12-volt voltage is always present;
  • the white-green contact is connected to the blue opening input of the electric drive;
  • The blue/white pin should be connected to the green closing output of the actuator.

Connecting additional connectors

Connecting additional connectors on the microprocessor unit:

  • a four-pin white connector is designed to connect a shock and sensitivity controller;
  • a two-pin blue block is used to connect the button to enter the alarm service mode;
  • The white two-pin connector is designed to connect an LED indicator of the anti-theft system status;
  • The black five-pin block is used to connect the external transceiver module.

User manual

In accordance with the instructions for use, operation of the anti-theft system is possible only after checking that the alarm system is connected correctly. To do this, you need to turn the vehicle security mode on and off. When the function is activated and deactivated, the door locks should open and close.

Setting up the control panel

Before using the remote control, the user must install a working battery into the device. The battery is inserted into a special compartment located behind the back cover of the key fob. When installing the battery, you must take into account the polarity.

Key fob programming

For the CLK 355 model, the communicator is linked as follows:

  1. The vehicle's security is turned off.
  2. Over the next five seconds, the ignition is turned on.
  3. Over the next 5 s, the user presses the button to enter the service mode three times.
  4. Then you need to wait until the siren sounds once.
  5. The ignition system is turned on. Two sound pulses should sound - one longer, the second short. This will cause the LED light to start blinking.
  6. Over the next 10 seconds, any button on the assigned communicator is pressed. If programming is successful, the siren will play one long signal.

In the LX-320 model, binding is done differently:

  1. The ignition is activated.
  2. The service mode button is pressed and held. It can be released after the siren sounds 4 sound pulses.
  3. The first button on the communicator (with the closed lock indicator) is pressed. If an additional key fob is attached, a similar control is used.
  4. The same steps are performed to program the remaining key fobs. The time between pairing devices should be no more than five seconds, otherwise the alarm will exit the setup menu.
  5. The ignition in the car is turned off. The external lights should blink five times.

Turning security modes on and off

The security function is activated by pressing a button with an indicator in the form of a closed lock. The press should be short-term, and in confirmation the system will give one sound and light signal. If you want to enable silent security, the indicator on the key fob display must be moved to the position of the corresponding indicator and the second button pressed. This means key II.

You can turn on car security with the engine running like this:

  1. The parking brake on the car is raised.
  2. On a car with the power unit running, press button I. It must be held for several seconds until the communicator emits a melodic signal and the external lights blink.
  3. The ignition in the car is turned off. The key must be removed from the lock. The motor should remain running.
  4. Then the user must leave the car and lock all doors. Press the key with the closed lock icon. After this, the alarm should block the operation of the engine and other components.

Activating the protective function without using a key fob is done as follows:

  1. The car's ignition turns on, but the engine does not start.
  2. The button to enter the service mode is pressed eight times.
  3. The ignition is deactivated. The siren and external lights should sound once each.
  4. In the next twenty seconds, the user must leave the car and lock all door locks with the key. After 20 s, the protection mode will be activated.

It is important to know

Disabling the normal security mode is done by briefly pressing the key with the key fob open. The protection is deactivated in a similar way on a car with the engine running.

Emergency shutdown of the security function is performed as follows:

  1. The vehicle door is opened with a key. The system siren will sound.
  2. The ignition is activated, but the engine does not start.
  3. Over the next twenty seconds, the service mode button is pressed four times.
  4. The ignition turns off. When the security mode is turned off, the external lights will work twice.

Setting up autorun

You can start the engine in several ways:

  1. By temperature. To activate the option, the cursor on the key fob screen is moved to the indicator with a thermometer and the inscription “Start”, after which key II is pressed. An icon with an indicator in the form of a thermometer will appear on the remote control display. Disabling the option is done in the same way.
  2. By timer. The principle of setting and disabling the option is identical. Only now the user must select an icon on the key fob screen with the inscription “Start” and an indicator in the form of a dial.

If you want to start the power unit on command, you need to hold down the I button on the remote control. This element is held for three seconds, after which the engine should start.

Restoring factory settings

If one of the functions does not work or functions incorrectly, you can try to solve the problem by resetting the parameters.

To do this you need to do the following:

  1. The car's ignition system turns on.
  2. The button to enter the service mode is pressed ten times.
  3. The ignition in the car is deactivated. If the siren then beeps ten times, this indicates that the reset menu has been entered.
  4. The service button is pressed once. The siren will sound.
  5. On the communicator, the closed lock control is pressed. If the parameters are successfully reset, one beep will sound.
  6. To leave the menu, the ignition is activated.

Firmware and reboot of the Pantera XS-110 remote control

You have replaced a non-working Panther XC 110 pager with a new one. How to properly connect it to the system?

  1. Disarm the car.
  2. Turn the ignition on, then immediately turn off.
  3. Complete the next step in five seconds. Press the "Jack" key 5 times.
  4. 5 CHIRPS will sound and the lights will light up five times. The programming mode has turned on.
  5. Complete this step in ten seconds. Press the left key of the first device. A single siren sound will follow.
  6. Do the same action with the remaining transmitters. The siren will sound the appropriate number of signals.
  7. After entering the code for the fourth remote control or turning off the ignition, the system will exit recording. The siren will sound 5 beeps and the lights will flash five times.

Advantages and disadvantages of Panther systems with autostart

  1. A large selection of different models, differing in characteristics and functionality. On sale you can find both cheap automatic start systems and more expensive options.
  2. Ability to control the system using a mobile device. This can be implemented only by modern versions of Panther.
  3. Versatility. This allows you to use the Panther alarm on any car that meets its parameters. The system can be installed on diesel and gasoline engines, as well as on vehicles with manual and automatic transmissions.

According to consumer reviews, the disadvantages of such alarms are as follows:

  1. Rapid discharge of the battery in the key fob. The presence of an energy saving mode does not solve this problem, especially during the initial setup of the system. The average battery life is about three months.
  2. Dynamic signal encryption technology is an outdated encoding option. This technology is used on some modern models. It should be taken into account that a professional criminal can easily bypass such encoding.

How the key fob works

Once upon a time, the very first models used static code. Due to the fact that it constantly retained its value, there was a high probability of hacking and, as a result, the ability to turn off the alarm if it was stolen. This level of security was clearly insufficient.

Later, the creators began to use much more secure dynamic code. The principle of its operation is that each time a command is issued by the key fob, the access codes of both the key fob and the entire security system change.

Since this approach uses a different code each time, the likelihood of hacking has sharply decreased. However, such a possibility still exists.

In modern models, the principle of operation of the key fob has been improved again. The dialog model of code modification is taken as a basis here. The point is that its formation occurs in three stages.

  1. The key fob communicates with the security system.
  2. Based on the received data, a special signal is sent to the key fob.
  3. Taking into account the information received, the key fob makes changes in the security system codes.
