AvtoVAZ has received Vehicle Type Approval for the updated version of the Lada Vesta, which should be officially presented in the near future. Thanks to the image included with the OTTS, the model's appearance is no longer a secret.

Drom.ru writes that the production of such cars started on February 11, but AvtoVAZ has not yet made any official statements on this matter. OTTS on Vesta FL will begin to operate on February 25, that is, the start of sales of the model will be after this date.

Thanks to the certificate for Vesta FL placed in the Rosstandart database, it became known exactly what differences in the exterior and overall dimensions the updated model received in comparison with the current version. The range of modifications is also no secret.

The restyling will affect all modifications of the model, including sedan, station wagon, cross-sedan and cross-station wagon. These are the vehicles that are registered in the OTTS. Later, an updated Sport version will also appear, and it will be offered not only in a sedan body (as it is now), but also in a station wagon version. Vesta FL Sport is not yet in the certificate.

With the modernization of Vesta's exterior, the front and rear bumpers, headlights and lanterns have been changed. The only stamped steel panel that is different is the lid/trunk door. The configuration of the headlights has changed - a more pronounced “step” has appeared at the bottom. The chrome “boomerangs” in the design of the front end now visually “stick2” into the headlights, rather than emphasizing them from below, as was the case before. At the rear, the lights became narrower at the bottom. The plastic molding above the niche for the “number number” was removed from the trunk lid. On the roofs of all restyled Vestas there will be a radio antenna in the form of a “shark fin”. The shape of the bumpers became less expressive, and two imitations of exhaust pipes appeared. The rear bumpers and lights between the sedan and station wagon are still 100% unified.

The Cross versions have undergone the same changes - they received new headlights and lanterns, as well as bumpers of the original design. If the standard Vesta FL has a radiator grille with horizontal slats, then the Cross has large cells. In addition, the off-road variants have larger air intakes and DRLs in the form of LED strips. The body kit made of black embossed plastic has been preserved.

The dimensions of the Vesta FL in the sedan body are as follows: length 4440 mm (+30 mm relative to the outgoing model), width 1764 mm (no changes), height – 1496 mm along the body and 1498 mm along the antenna (minus 1 mm and plus 1 mm relative to the old one) cars), wheelbase 2635 mm. The Vesta FL SW station wagon has the same length and width as the sedan, but the height is greater - 1500 mm for the body, 1510 mm for the roof rails and 1525 mm for the antenna. The outgoing station wagon had a height of 1497 mm for the body and 1520 mm for the antenna.

The updated Cross sedan and station wagon have an overall length of 4445 mm, that is, +21 mm relative to the previous model. The width is the same – 1785 mm. The height of the cross-sedan is 1522 mm in the body and 1526 mm in the antenna, in the cross-station wagon – 1522 mm in the body, 1532 mm in the roof rails, 1548 mm in the antenna. The cross-station wagon of the current model has a body height of 1526 mm and an antenna height of 1537 mm.

There are no OTTS images of the interior, but a completely new interior with more expensive and finely detailed styling is expected. They will use a completely new front panel and door cards, a large tablet display of the media system (in expensive trim levels), and a digital instrument panel (also in luxury versions). Photos of the interior were made publicly available in the fall of 2022, in addition, fragments of the interior were published in the Rospatent database.

In inexpensive trim levels, the headlights will remain halogen, but in top versions they will become fully LED.

There are no changes to the units. The model's range of engines will continue to consist of petrol VAZs with a volume of 1.6 and 1.8 liters (106 and 122 hp, respectively), as well as a Renault-Nissan with a volume of 1.6 liters (113 hp). VAZ engines are coupled only with a 5-speed manual transmission, while Renault Nissan engines are equipped with a Jatco continuously variable variator.
