Author: Victor

Setting up key fobs for the Alligator alarm depends on the model and functions of the system, but regardless of the type, it begins with binding to the control unit. Programming is carried out according to one algorithm using the Vallet service button. If it was not possible to program the remote control in this way, then you need to contact a service center, since more modern Alligator key fobs sometimes require manual registration of the code.

Characteristics of the Alligator alarm

General characteristics of Alligator keychains:

  • the battery in the main key fob is used at 1.5 volts, and in the additional one - 3;
  • The main remote controls have a button locking feature to prevent accidental pressing;
  • signal transmission frequency 433-868 MHz;
  • operating range - 1200 m;
  • car search mode;
  • panic mode - siren and alarm signals are activated;
  • option to call the car owner from the salon;
  • Anti-Hijack mode - protection function against robbery;
  • Valet mode to disable all security functions of the anti-theft system.

More expensive and popular models have:

  • automatic engine start based on air temperature or timer;
  • two-way communication;
  • work radius - 2500;
  • Safe Start functions (checking logical neutral);
  • Short Stop function (arming the car while the engine is running);
  • Turbo Cooldown (after active driving and arming the turbocharged car, the engine runs for a few more minutes to cool the turbine);
  • possibility of using additional channels.

Connecting a new car alarm pager with feedback

Synchronization of the control panel of the Alligator anti-theft system is performed according to the following algorithm.

  1. Turn off security mode. Turn on the ignition.
  2. During the allotted period of time (fifteen seconds), turn on “Jack” three times. The system will emit three siren sounds and the LED will flash slowly.
  3. Click the “closed lock” button on the remote control. A long CHIRP will follow. The transmitter will make one sound.
  4. Repeat the previous step for the remaining key fobs.
  5. Exit recording mode by turning off the ignition or doing nothing for fifteen seconds. You will hear a short and long siren signal.

How to program the key fob?

To set up key fobs, first of all, the car owner needs to program them correctly:

  1. The Vallet service button is activated with one click (the ignition must be turned off at the time of this procedure).
  2. After activation, the Vallet key will need to be clicked three more times in a row, after which the device will emit a characteristic signal.
  3. Immediately after the signal, the owner needs to press the keys on the key fob one by one, thereby synchronizing them with the device on the car.
  4. At the end of the procedure, the ignition must be turned on and then turned off again, and only then can the operation of the security system be checked in practice.

Matvey Efimov shows how you can register and reprogram the Alligator key fob.

Autorun errors

The main reasons for the failure of the automatic start system, in which the Alligator does not work, may be incorrect settings and technical malfunctions of the car engine:

  • Automatic start by timer or temperature only works when the security mode is on;
  • The engine runs at high speeds (silence occurs, restarts are cancelled);
  • The oil pressure sensor and indicator do not work;
  • The car is not set to the handbrake;
  • There is no transmission "logical neutral" confirmation in automatic transmissions;
  • There is no engine speed data (the tachometer does not work);
  • The car doors or hood are open;
  • In diesel units there is no confirmation of the readiness system of the pre-launch mechanism (warming up of the mechanisms);
  • The specified time for the autorun program has expired.

For the correct operation of all settings, it is important to remember: if during a programmed start a command was given to stop the engine remotely, it will be turned off, but the device will repeat the start strictly according to the specified schedule. All program algorithms are saved when the security mode is disabled - the next time you arm it, autostart will work at the preset time until you reset the timers. During random engine shutdown, the system starts a new timing every 24 hours according to the factory settings.

The Alligator alarm system is a powerful anti-theft tool that has a lot of useful functions and settings. With its help, you can protect the vehicle from unauthorized access, as well as increase the comfort of using the machine. There are a large number of models from this manufacturer available on the market, so in order to choose the best option, you should familiarize yourself with its characteristics and operating parameters.

The kit includes a built-in pager with a screen, which allows the driver to monitor the condition of the car. Dynamic code is used as a standard of protection, eliminating the possibility of intelligent hacking. The range is 2000 and 1000 m. The first indicator indicates the ability to transmit a signal, and the second indicates the ability to change settings.

Signaling Alligator C-500 supports 2-way communication and remote engine starting using a pager with 5 buttons and a screen. All information about the state of the machine, current configurations and other indicators is displayed on the monitor and is completely Russified.

The model operates according to the 868 mhz standard, which makes it virtually invulnerable to electronic hackers. The range reaches 3 km if there is no interference at the location of the machine. This value is a record for modern anti-car theft systems.

Since the model is equipped with a CAN bus, it is less exposed to radio noise and is protected from pulse interception.

The technical characteristics of the model are as follows:

  • The on-board voltage of 12 V is used as a battery for the alarm unit.
  • The pager is powered by 1.5 V batteries.
  • The additional key fob is equipped with 3-volt batteries.
  • The system supports the function of blocking the power unit when trying to steal a car.
  • A special code value is used to identify the driver.
  • The processor module is equipped with an output for connecting additional locking devices.
  • The device is equipped with additional channels for connecting auxiliary systems.

SP-75RS

The SP-75RS alarm system is the latest invention of the Alligator company, which is reliably protected from electronic hacking and is not afraid of urban interference. The response speed deserves special attention - it is 1/4 second.

The system supports feedback and can start the engine remotely. Key autorun functions include:

  • Possibility of maintaining optimal temperature conditions throughout the year.
  • There is no risk of engine freezing when exposed to severe frosts.
  • Providing valuable coolness during the summer when it is hot outside.
  • Ability to adapt the autorun function based on the countdown timer, temperature and other indicators.
  • Daily launch at a selected time interval.
  • Launch depending on the on-board network indicators.
