First of all, I drove the front wheels onto my mini overpass for ease of draining, but at the beginning I decided to measure the oil level in the gearbox and it turned out not in vain, since my level from the factory was a little above the MAX mark. But I couldn’t measure it exactly because the oil is very transparent and is practically invisible on the dipstick.

and lowered it into the hole for the dipstick, then took it out and a clear line of the level mark was already visible. I applied it to the dipstick and that’s where the oil level was filled from the factory.

Next, I proceeded to drain, unscrewed the bolt and such a clean, clean stream of oil poured out, no shavings or other impurities were found that sometimes happens in gearboxes. Unfortunately, I didn’t take a photo. My hands were covered in oil, but believe me, the oil was like new! For the convenience of silting, I built this device from an ordinary one and a half liter bottle and a threaded tube

Then I filled it in three steps and it came in at about 3500-3530, I checked the level again to calm my soul, everything turned out to be exactly as it was before the change, although the factory says 3300. First impressions after I turned on the reverse and first gears were that there were no changes, but already on the move when moving from 1st to 2nd and further up to 5th gear, I noticed a difference. And the difference is that the gears changed much easier and more clearly, I even honestly did not expect such an effect! I can’t say for sure that it’s because of the semi-synthetics, maybe it’s just that the new oil had that effect. Well, how much it will freeze in the cold will be shown by the next winter.
