Hidden features of Lada Vesta and Khrey in “Lux” trim levels

Many features of the Lada Vesta are hidden by the manufacturer and are inaccessible to most drivers. At the same time, technically everything necessary for the operation of the systems in the car is present - you just need to activate the functions.

In this article, we will analyze the hidden capabilities of the Lada Vesta and Khrey in the Luxury trim levels and show how comfortable the car can be.

To enable the options, you simply need to reconfigure the control units. The master of our STOSHIL unit needs only 30-40 minutes for such work.

All of the listed hidden features do not affect the operation of other vehicle systems. This is simply a machine functionality blocked by the manufacturer that needs to be activated.

Access to the rear doors of the car

The Lada Vesta has one rather controversial design feature - it does not contain internal locking latches at the top of any of the doors.

However, you can force the rear door to close. Look at the end of the open rear door and, seeing a plastic lock there, use a hard object to lower it down. After that, when you close the door, you can rest assured that it will be impossible to open the door from the inside.

The Lada Vesta car can be equipped with multimedia systems (MMC, GU) LADA EnjoY (without Yandex) and LADA EnjoY Pro (with Yandex.Auto services)

Note: The use of some MMS functions (for example, browser, or video) is only possible when parked, or when the vehicle speed is no more than 5 km. at one o'clock.

CONNECTING TO THE INTERNET VIA Wi-Fi

In order to connect MMS to the Internet via Wi-Fi from your phone, create an access point in the settings of your smartphone to distribute the Internet via Wi-Fi.

Click on the MMS settings button

In the Connectivity section, tap Wi-Fi.

Move the Wi-Fi slider to active state

After displaying the available networks, select yours to connect

Wi-Fi settings

MMS remembers all devices that were connected previously. Only one access point can be used at a time. The point currently connected to the MMC is always displayed first in the list.

If the MMC was turned off for a long time (completely turned off), then after resuming operation it will not automatically connect to the access point. You need to reconnect manually.

The presence of an icon on the MMS screen indicates that the connection to the point has been completed, but access to the Internet at the point itself has been lost.

To change access currents, click the cross in the line of the active connection, and then select a new point.

Bluetooth CONNECTION

Bluetooth connection allows you to use telephone communication without being distracted from the road, as well as listen to music from your smartphone.

Note: Connection with all smartphone brands and software versions is not guaranteed.

To connect your smartphone via Bluetooth, click the settings button – In the Connectivity section, click Bluetooth – Turn on Bluetooth on your smartphone and start searching for available devices – Select your car from the list of found devices Click the Connect button

To connect your phone to MMS for the first time via Bluetooth, you will need to enter the password displayed on the phone screen and on the MMS screen.

In case of connection problems, it is recommended to restart both devices, and also disable/enable Bluetooth mode on both devices

The system remembers the devices that have been connected over the entire time. But it can only support connection from one smartphone at a time, for example, play music or show a list of contacts.

If the Bluetooth connection is lost, MMS will automatically restore it.

To disable Bluetooth, select the line of the connected device on the settings screen and click Disable.

Option 2. Click the search button on the screen and select an item category, such as Products.

3. Option. Click the search button on the screen and enter the exact address.

4. Option. Using a voice assistant. (Voice activation must be enabled in the settings). Say "Alice". After the assistant answers, give the exact address. For example: “We are going to Oktyabrskaya Street, 10.”

Is it possible to use Navigator without the Internet?

- Yes, you can. However, for this you need to download maps to the navigator in advance. To download maps, you need to go to settings (click , then Tools → Download maps) and download maps of the regions that you need. After downloading, you can build routes through these regions without connecting to the Internet. New versions of maps are released periodically and can be updated.

PROJECTION FROM A CONNECTED PHONE

You can connect your phone to the MMS and project Android Auto or Apple CarPlay applications onto the screen of the media system. To do this, connect your smartphone using a USB cable (location of the USB connector - see the figure above)

After connecting, a pop-up window will appear on the MMS screen asking you to launch Android Auto (or Apple CarPlay) or not to launch it. In the second case, the phone will only charge. The choice can be remembered.

For each of the connected devices, you can select a behavior scenario in the settings. You can change settings at any time.

You can minimize the projected Apple CarPlay and Android Auto apps and use the media system as usual, with the projected apps running in the background. For example, you can listen to music in the projected application and use the MMC navigator and vice versa. However, you cannot use the navigator on both the MMC and the projected application at the same time. Only one route will be active - the one you programmed last.

If you disconnect the USB cable while the projected application is running, it will stop running and its window will close.

SETTING YOUR SCREEN SAVER

In MMS, you can configure the screen saver to constantly display the time (hours) and date. At the same time, music will continue to play in the background, navigator tips will continue to work, and the Internet connection will remain active (however, voice assistants will not work). Secret settings of LADA VESTA: 15 comments

Interesting information. Why isn't this in the car manual? There is also a special dashboard test - they could also indicate it in the article.

Lada Vesta was the first to receive the new Lada logo. Later, the modernized “rook” will appear on other models of the brand

On August 29, 2016, the head of AvtoVAZ, Nicolas More, said that the company had abandoned plans to produce a hatchback.

September 17 I can't enter this menu.

Hello Andrey, try holding the button longer...

Andrey, have you gone to the menu? I have the same problem.

I have a Vesta classic with Conder, and I also don’t have these special settings (the car was purchased at the end of 2022.

When I was sorting out the on-board computer, it seemed like the turn signal sound settings menu turned on once, but now I can’t get into it. I held it for 5 seconds. two buttons and a minute, all to no avail. What could be the problem?

Good day! I am also interested in the question about the sound of repeaters, 2022 Vesta - I can’t enter the menu to turn off the sound, if anyone has solved this problem, I would be grateful if you share the information!) Thank you!

External lighting

First points on the automatic rear wiper. Many people know a not very relevant standard feature for the Vesta station wagon. When we engage reverse gear, the rear wiper is automatically activated, which essentially wipes it dry. It can be turned off quickly and easily.

The rain sensor can be switched off to allow the wiper drive to operate in normal intermittent mode. Another interesting feature is that the running lights are turned off when the turn signal is on. That is, when we turn on the turn signal, the DRL lamp turns off so that the turn signal is more pronounced.

The car can drive you to the entrance

A useful feature is Follow Me Home, which means “walk me home.” I have it activated. What is its essence? When we park the car and go home, we open the door and blink the high beam lever. Then, when the car is locked and armed, the low beam remains on for 30 seconds. This gives us the opportunity to walk to the house along an illuminated area.

Curve lighting

There is also another very useful feature. If the car is standard equipped with fog lights, then you can activate the cornering lights. When you turn the steering wheel at a certain angle in any direction, the corresponding fog light turns on, providing additional illumination.

Optional equipment

For Vesta that is not equipped with a BC, you can buy an additional on-board computer, and the service center will connect, configure and control it in the same way as the standard one.

All described functions are supported, and some models have a function for displaying error codes. The price of an on-board computer for Lada Vesta can range from 4,500 to 9,000 rubles. The cost depends on the manufacturer and the controlled functions. When surveying Lada owners, positive feedback was received about BC. We can conclude: it is quite convenient and displays the readings necessary for the driver.

Technical fluids

Change all technical fluids on time: oil, antifreeze, brake fluid, antifreeze. Also, do not forget to check the electrolyte level in the battery. If necessary, add distilled water, which evaporates more in summer. Many people think that it is enough to install a new battery and forget about it. But that's not true. Unscrew the plugs and check the level. Evaporation occurs from high air temperature.

Sounds and notification

There are 2 functions here:

  1. Sound signal when arming and disarming. In normal mode, when we set the car alarm, the lighting simply goes off without making any sounds. But you can activate the sound signal. This sound annoys me a little, so I turned off this function.
  2. Reminder about a forgotten key in the ignition. When we open the door, a buzzer sounds, which reminds us that the key is still in the lock. This feature can be disabled.

There are no other functions in this section.
