The best cars with high ground clearance without air suspension

Many off-road enthusiasts consider air suspension to be pampering and do not recognize its presence on real SUVs. We won’t argue with them, everyone has the right to their own opinion, but it should be noted that the TOP SUVs that are in this rating are really not equipped with this option. Partly due to its relative fragility. Precisely relative. If you plan to load your car as much as possible and force it to make the most difficult journeys, then, of course, it is better to refuse this option.

The ride height for cars traveling around Russia is no less important than the durability of the paintwork. The higher the ground clearance, the more comfortable it is to overcome road obstacles, fly over potholes, and park over curbs and hemispheres.

Driving on our roads with a clearance of less than 150 mm is uncomfortable. Although speed bumps and broken tram rails don’t stick, you have to park with the hood on the curb. And in winter, you can actually lie with the bottom of your car on an ice snowdrift and spin your wheels in the air. Acceptable ground clearance for Russian roads is from 170 mm. And if we are talking about ground clearance that will cope with winter conditions in the Russian outback, it is generally better not to go below 200 mm.

Winter is approaching - it's time to think about buying a tall car in order to forget about all the problems of "bellies" and not get stuck in snowdrifts. Avtocod.ru selected several cars with high ground clearance. These are not expensive and powerful frame SUVs and luxury crossovers with air, but ordinary cars up to 1 million rubles.

Discovery

Another good car for Russia from the Land Rover brand. The cross-country ability here will be even higher than in the previous model. But such a machine also costs a lot - approximately 37 million rubles. This car is not afraid of obstacles of any complexity, including harsh domestic winters.

Buyers have access to vehicles with engines of 211-340 horsepower. Combined with a ground clearance of 24 cm, this allows the driver and passengers not to think about the quality of the road surface - various bumps and holes are not felt at all. There are no disadvantages, except for the high price. But if you can afford this car, then you can save yourself from many problems, because the model is perfectly adapted to our roads.

UAZ Hunter.

The Hunter from UAZ has a ground clearance of 210 mm, which makes it one of the leaders on our list. The domestic SUV has a classic UAZ appearance and legendary cross-country ability, which is unattainable for most modern crossovers. Three configurations of the “Hunter” are sold in stores at prices ranging from 609 to 670 thousand rubles. The UAZ Hunter engine has 128 horsepower and a volume of 2.7 liters.

Hatchbacks with high ground clearance

Hatchbacks are compact and visually attractive. These cars are in high demand among domestic car enthusiasts. But sometimes the ground clearance of such cars is not very good for our roads. But there are models with high ground clearance.

Scoda Fabia Scout

A compact and cozy hatchback with a ground clearance of 15 centimeters. With such a car, road potholes are not scary. The drive is only front-wheel drive, so driving into deep jungle with such a car is not recommended. The car is equipped with only one type of engine – 1.2 TSI, and the power is 105 horses. A distinctive feature can be considered a good body kit of the car; the bumper is made of durable plastic, it is very difficult to scratch it.

The engine is torquey, driving such a car you get only positive emotions, which is what most Scoda Fabia Scout owners note online. If there are more such cars, then we can say with confidence that hatchbacks with high ground clearance are capable of winning a huge army of fans.

Suzuki SX4

Reliability is the middle name of the Suzuki SX4. For Russians, a car version with a 1.6-liter engine is available. The output is a power motor with a power of 112 horses. As for the transmission, the client holds all the cards. You can choose a configuration with a 5-speed manual transmission or a 4-speed automatic transmission.

The car's ground clearance is 17.5 centimeters, which is quite decent for a vehicle as a representative of the hatchback class.

BMW X5

The premium Bavarian crossover with all-wheel drive has a ground clearance of 209 mm. This indicates its good cross-country ability. The BMW X5 can be purchased with both a diesel and a gasoline engine. There are power units for every taste, both for lovers of drive and for fairly calm motorists. The maximum power of the car reaches 625 horsepower. True, the fuel consumption of such an engine will not be very low. With proper maintenance and proper operation, the car is quite reliable. But its maintenance requires significant costs. The machine is equipped with the most advanced electronics. It offers excellent comfort and safety. It has an almost complete set of the most modern equipment. But such a crossover is not cheap. In the minimum configuration, now you will have to pay at least 5,500,000 rubles for it, or even more.

Not a record, but practical: 5 foreign cars with the highest ground clearance up to a million rubles

To begin with, we traditionally formulate an exact list of conditions. We will limit the price to a million rubles - after all, we need the most budget-friendly foreign car. On the contrary, we will choose the maximum possible ground clearance for this segment – at least 200 millimeters. This will also cut off the tall sedans, which we have completely figured out. That's probably all the main introductory information - you can move on to the list of available models.

Renault Duster

  • Ground clearance: 205-210 mm
  • Price: from 719,000 rubles

If we were choosing a car solely by the nameplate on its nose, the Chevrolet Niva would open our list. But not only is it not a crossover, but, to be fair, it is not a foreign car either – we talked in detail about its “path to emigranthood”. Well, Duster is, as always, the most expected option in almost any problem about the “very-very” crossover. It is the cheapest of all-wheel drive, and the cheapest of diesel, and, in principle, the cheapest of foreign cars, so it is not surprising that it is also first on the list of the highest and cheapest crossovers of foreign brands. If it had a seven-seat version, it would have won in this discipline, but it already has a sufficient selection of configurations and modifications.

1 / 2

2 / 2

Today we are most interested in ground clearance, and the Duster fulfills this condition with a small margin: the declared ground clearance is 205 mm for front-wheel drive versions with a rear beam and 210 for all-wheel drive with an independent rear multi-link. The engine range here has long been established, and, unlike the sister Logan and Sandero, the crossover has not added any more transmission options: a CVT is still not available for it. The base engine is a 114-horsepower 1.6-liter H4M, a more powerful gasoline version is the F4R with 2 liters and 143 hp, and as an alternative, the K9K diesel engine producing 109 hp. and 240 Nm of torque, which is significantly more than that of its gasoline counterparts. There are two manual transmission options: a five-speed for front-wheel drive and a six-speed for all-wheel drive, but there is only one two-pedal option: the long-familiar four-speed DP8 gearbox. But one of the important advantages of the “French” remains with it: those who need all-wheel drive do not have to overpay for the engine: a multi-plate clutch in the rear wheel drive is available with any of the engines. But automatic transmission can only be obtained with gasoline units: the higher torque of a diesel engine leaves it no choice.

Taking into account small but regular price increases, the basic Duster by the end of 2022 began to cost 719 thousand rubles. We, however, remember that it is not for nothing that it is so cheap in the basic version - the only “options” here are power steering and a driver’s airbag. Any step up in terms of technology or options means a significant increase in price: the same empty, but all-wheel drive car costs 840 thousand, and a single-wheel drive car, but with air conditioning, two windows, electric mirrors and some other little things - already 880. A two-liter engine with all-wheel drive is being raised the price is up to a million rubles, and you can’t buy a diesel version for less than 1,087,000. The most expensive Drive Plus version with the same diesel engine, all-wheel drive and manual transmission will cost 1,142,000 rubles, and with a two-liter gasoline engine and automatic transmission – 1,153,000.

JAC S3

  • Ground clearance: 200 mm
  • Price: from 749,000 rubles

Since we did not include all-wheel drive in the list of required options, the Chinese JAC S3 modestly but confidently wedged itself into our list. It always has a strictly front-wheel drive, but in terms of ground clearance and price it meets the conditions: the declared minimum ground clearance is 200 mm. Due to its compact dimensions (4.3 meters in length), in our recent comparative test it went head-to-head with the Lada Xray Cross and even succeeded in some respects. It is curious that its older brother, the JAC S5, with a ground clearance of 170 mm, made it into our rating of the lowest crossovers, but the cheaper and smaller S3, on the contrary, offers a lot of clearance for its money.

2 / 2

The Chinese cannot offer an abundance of choice of equipment, like the Duster. There is only one engine here, a naturally aspirated 1.6-liter with the index HFC7151MV, which produces 109 hp. and 146 Nm of torque. But there is a choice of transmission, albeit not the most optimal from the point of view of the preferences of the Russian buyer: an alternative to a 6-speed manual here is a CVT. The suspension designs are familiar from other Chinese cars: the front is a MacPherson strut, and the rear is a semi-independent torsion beam, popular not only among the French.

The list of equipment, coupled with the price, partly “atones for the sins” of the Chinese front-wheel drive: even compared to the Lada Xray, it performed decently in this regard. The basic version of Comfort for 750 thousand does not have alloy wheels, parking sensors and electric mirrors, but there are front airbags, air conditioning, front electric windows (and the driver’s, as the official website reports, “automatic”), electric steering, cruise control and a simple audio system. The Luxury version gets everything that was not included above, as well as rear electric windows, a multifunction steering wheel and fog lights, and costs 800 thousand. Well, the top version of the Intelligent for 909 thousand gets leather and leatherette trim for the interior and steering wheel, climate control instead of air conditioning and multimedia with a 7-inch touchscreen and Bluetooth.

Renault Captur

  • Ground clearance: 205 mm
  • Price: from 945,000 rubles

The next step up the price ladder takes us to another B0 platform derivative and Duster sibling – the Renault Kaptur. Technically, the models are extremely similar, but there are enough differences in the settings and components of the suspension and brakes, even if the end result cannot be called radically different. The suspensions themselves, however, retained the idea: front-wheel drive versions are distinguished by a rear beam, and all-wheel drive versions are equipped with a multi-link. The engine range is also common with the Duster, but narrower: the diesel engine in the more elegant and less off-road Kaptur was deliberately abandoned, including for price reasons, leaving only 1.6 and 2 liter petrol units with a capacity of 114 and 143 hp . respectively. But there are positive differences in the list of transmissions: in addition to the above-mentioned 5- and 6-speed manual transmissions and a four-speed DP8 automatic, the Kaptur has a JF015E variator from Jatco, long familiar from other models of the Renault-Nissan concern. True, it is combined only with front-wheel drive and a 1.6-liter engine - those who do not want to change gears with all-wheel drive are still left with the only option indicated just above.

1 / 3

2 / 3

3 / 3

Kaptur no longer lures the buyer with the low price of the hopelessly empty initial version: the price list opens at 945 thousand rubles. There will be not only an electro-hydraulic power steering, four power windows and air conditioning, but even an engine start button, an audio system with Bluetooth and LED rear optics. In addition to all-wheel drive, a two-liter car with an automatic transmission will receive cruise control, side airbags and heated front seats, and will cost 1.2 million rubles. Well, the most expensive Extreme version with an expanded styling package, climate control, all-diode optics and other options will cost 1,355,000 rubles.

Nissan Terrano

  • Ground clearance: 205-210 mm
  • Price: from 979,000 rubles

Usually in such reviews we combine Duster and Terrano into one model - after all, the differences are minimal, and the key ones relate to the external design and the formation of trim levels and prices. However, when it comes to strict budget restrictions, it’s worth figuring out how much you are offered to overpay for a Japanese nameplate.

The Terrano has almost no technical features compared to the Duster. Previously, it lagged behind in the availability of transmission options and the pace of implementation of updates - either there were no all-wheel drive cars with an automatic transmission, or the horn button remained on the steering column lever, although the original Duster had long ago received an updated steering wheel with a horn. Now there are no such little things left, except that diesel is not offered for the Terrano in principle.

1 / 2

2 / 2

The difference in the base price tag is explained not only by the brand image, but also by the difference in trim levels. Here, like the Kaptur, there is no indecently poor base: standard equipment includes two front airbags, front electric windows, air conditioning, heated electric mirrors and an audio system with Bluetooth. But all this costs 979 thousand rubles - a Duster in a similar design will still be several tens of thousands of rubles cheaper. An all-wheel drive car will cost at least 1.02 million rubles, a two-liter one - 1.12 million, and the top-end Tekna version with all-wheel drive and automatic transmission, the only difference from the Elegance Plus is a leather interior, is priced at 1,245,000 rubles.

Renault Arkana

  • Ground clearance: 205 mm
  • Price: from 1,015,000 rubles

The French took the next step to refine, modernize and rename the same B0 platform relatively recently, this year. They haven’t given the updated “trolley” a loud marketing name yet, but they focused on the fact that the Arkana chassis is no longer a Duster or even a Kaptur, and the body has become not only more fashionable in appearance, but also tougher. The improvement in passive safety affected not only the body - 6 airbags appeared instead of 4 on other French crossovers. In general, a cross-coupe is not so much a direct alternative to its brand brethren as an attempt to take away the audience from adjacent models and even classes. True, due to the same budgetary essence, it was not possible to get rid of much: for example, the rear drum brakes are noticeable on the outside, and on the inside there are simple finishing materials from which the new design was sculpted.

1 / 3

2 / 3

3 / 3

Technically, Arkana also differs more strongly from other “Duster-like” ones. Although the front-wheel drive version still has a semi-independent torsion beam at the rear, and all-wheel drive is implemented with the same multi-plate clutch, the list of engines and transmissions is almost its own. There is only one common engine: a 114-horsepower 1.6-liter H4M, but instead of a two-liter naturally aspirated engine, the French used a 1.3-liter turbo engine jointly developed with Daimler, which they call the H5H: it is not only a little more powerful (150 hp. ), but it also reaches peak torque much earlier, and its torque itself is higher – 240 Nm. The transmission also depends on the engine: in addition to the familiar 5- or 6-speed manual gearboxes, depending on the type of drive, CVTs are used here. The older version of the CVT from Jatco with the index JF015E works with the old aspirated engine, as on the Kaptur, but with the turbo engine there is a newer version of the JF016E with an expanded power range and an imitation of 7 gears instead of 6. There are no differences in the settings and all-wheel drive technology.

Strictly speaking, Arkana does not quite fit into our million-dollar budget: at the time of release, the basic version was estimated at 999 thousand, and now the price has risen to 1,015,000. But such a tiny excess can be forgiven, and even against the background of the same Kaptur, the prices do not seem much more high. Electric power steering with variable force is already included in the base, as are LED optics, heated electric mirrors, 4 power windows and 4 airbags. With a turbo engine and front-wheel drive, the Arkana costs 1.25 million rubles, and with all-wheel drive it costs 1.44. The special version Edition One, still available in price lists, is a little more expensive: from 1.445 to 1.525 million.

What if you pay more?

Those who are familiar with market calculations could have guessed from the very beginning that almost all cheap high crossovers would be derivatives of the B0 platform. But what if you don’t want to buy a French car on principle - so much so that the budget expands to 1.5 million rubles? Here are some more options.

Octavia

A representative of the European C-class also appeared in our rating. We are talking about the Octavia model from the Skoda brand. The car is available in liftback and station wagon body styles. The ground clearance is quite modest - 15.5 cm, but the car has such advantages as:

  • reliability;
  • ease of repair;
  • good adaptation to Russian roads.

The manufacturer took care of durable engines and stable suspension, so you don’t have to worry about frequent repairs. The great demand for the Skoda Octavia speaks for itself. And the cost of 950 thousand cannot but rejoice. Fuel consumption is also relatively low, which allows Skoda to get a couple more pluses.

Renault Duster, Renault Kaptur and Nissan Terrano

It’s not for nothing that we combined these three off-road crossovers. All of them are front-wheel drive, only some modifications are equipped with single-wheel drive. The cars are built on the same platform and are identical in ride height. The declared ground clearance from the manufacturer is 205 mm, but 10 mm is “eaten up” by the protection. But 195 mm is quite enough for budget crossovers.

But the pricing policies of the models are different. The average cost of a Duster is almost 634 thousand rubles, a Nissan Terrano is 779 thousand rubles, and for a completely new Capture (sold in Russia for only three years) they ask for an average of 918 thousand rubles. At the same time, you can easily find a problem-free copy on the secondary market.

According to statistics from avtocod.ru, every second Duster and every third Terrano and Capture are sold “clean”. But this does not mean that you need to relax and neglect checking your car. Most of the “Dusters” and “Captures” are sold after an accident, with the calculation of repair work and unpaid fines. “Terrano” is most often sold with a duplicate title, road accident and registration restrictions.

Summing up

Good ground clearance means that the vehicle's maneuverability increases significantly. As a result, you can drive on any off-road without fear, without fear that the muffler or other elements located on the bottom of the vehicle will be damaged.

We have presented you with a list of models that are distinguished by good ground clearance, functionality and attractive appearance. All of them are perfect for driving around the city and for trips into nature.

Video review about high-clearance sedans:

Nissan X-Trail

Nissan X-Trail is a very popular crossover in Russia from the famous Japanese manufacturer. It has excellent cross-country ability, especially in versions with all-wheel drive, as it has truly off-road ground clearance - as much as 210 mm. The car is very comfortable and safe. It is equipped with many modern electronic options, many of which are usually found in cars of a higher price category. The machine is offered with economical and reliable engines that run on diesel fuel or gasoline. The car can be equipped with either a reliable manual transmission or a rather delicate and demanding CVT. In general, the crossover is considered economical, roomy, safe and comfortable. There are many configurations to suit every taste. Even the cheapest versions can boast excellent equipment. At the same time, the cost of a car is now quite low. It starts from approximately 1,800,000 rubles.

Tucson

Continuing to talk about the best cars, you should not miss the Hyundai Tucson. In this model, manufacturers were able to achieve both good off-road performance and economical fuel consumption in urban conditions. As a result, this versatile machine can be driven anywhere. This statement is confirmed by the Hyundai Tucson's ground clearance of 18.2 cm, as well as the presence of all-wheel drive.

The car is well adapted for our climate zone. The body is very reliable, and the build quality is also pleasing. It is especially worth emphasizing the strength of the suspension, which is designed for long-term operation without breakdowns. Prices for a new car start at 1.2 million rubles, so it cannot be classified as a luxury car. And the parts are quite affordable, which also pleases car owners.

Sportage

The popularity of Kia cars is growing every year. At the same time, the manufacturer offers a wide range of vehicles, among which the all-wheel drive Sportage crossover stands out. For a price of 1.2 million rubles. you will receive a car with excellent quality, safety and reliability.

A roomy and comfortable car with an economical engine and a power of 150 horses - what more could you want from your car? For Russian customers, the manufacturer offers vehicles equipped with all-wheel drive or front-wheel drive. At the same time, the latter option will be preferable for frequent driving around the city, but off-road enthusiasts will like an all-wheel drive vehicle.

LADA 4×4 and Chevrolet Niva

The secret of Vesta’s lack of all-wheel drive, perhaps, lies in the fact that no one would take the Niva. The first domestic crossover rises above the asphalt by 205 mm, and the version created together with Chevrolet is already 220 mm.

In addition to high ground clearance, the driver can expect all-wheel drive, low weight, cross-axle differentials on two axles at once and thoughtful body geometry with favorable approach and departure angles. And the Niva also has permanent all-wheel drive, low-speed steering and differential locking.

These models are prime examples that capable cars don't have to be expensive. The average cost of a LADA 4×4 is 312 thousand rubles, a Chevrolet Niva is 362 thousand rubles.

Be careful when purchasing. Despite the fact that every third of the Nivas is given away without problems, there is a risk of buying a scrapped car, either in collateral, with incorrect mileage, restrictions or unpaid fines.

"Shnivy" are even more problematic. Most cars are sold after accidents, with unpaid fines. You can come across examples after a taxi, in collateral, leasing, with registration restrictions and twisted mileage.

Where to measure ground clearance

When determining the vehicle's ground clearance, the distance from the surface of the earth to the lowest point of the vehicle is measured. The space under the bottom of the car is a jumble of various structural elements: front and rear bumpers, the lower part of the engine, gearbox, suspension parts, exhaust system, fuel tank, and a spare tire located under the bottom.

Determining the lowest point of the car from which ground clearance is measured can be difficult. Most often, when measuring ground clearance, they determine the distance from several lower points at once, and then select the smallest of them, this will be considered the ground clearance of this car.

Audi Q7

The premium crossover of the famous German brand has almost the highest ground clearance in its class, amounting to as much as 235 mm. The Audi Q7 is reliable, comfortable and safe. Despite its impressive speed and power qualities, it is quite economical and is available only with a 3-liter diesel engine. Its power is as much as 249 “horses”. The car is sold with an automatic transmission and all-wheel drive. It features a spacious interior and a spacious trunk. Despite the fact that in our country the crossover is usually used in big cities, it will cope perfectly with any off-road conditions. The vehicle's cross-country ability is in no way inferior to real SUVs and even surpasses some of them. Thanks to a variety of electronic assistants, a high degree of safety and comfort, the car is perfect for travel. Moreover, in Russia it is considered an indicator of luxury and wealth. The cost of a new car now starts at about 5.5 million rubles.

Land Rover Range Rover

Perhaps our most famous British premium SUV. Land Rover Range Rover is equipped with all-wheel drive and has a ground clearance of 220 mm, which indicates its excellent cross-country ability. Therefore, it is perfect even for significant off-road conditions. It is a pity that in our country it is not usually customary to use it for its intended purpose. The car is sold with an automatic transmission and a full package of advanced electronics. It is available with powerful power plants, including gasoline, diesel and even hybrid. The maximum power of the car reaches an incredible 565 hp. With. But there are versions for calmer drivers, with less power. A car is considered a sign of status in Russia. It is famous for its rather high fuel consumption and is not always reliable. And they can often fix it only at dealerships for a lot of money. And the new SUV costs no less than seven million rubles.

Infiniti QX80

All-wheel drive luxury car with good ground clearance. The ground clearance of the Infiniti QX80 is as much as 234 mm. Therefore, it has excellent cross-country ability and is able to conquer any off-road conditions. True, in our country it is usually not customary to use it for this purpose. Here, a car with a brutal appearance, an expensive interior and an incredibly powerful engine is often used as an ordinary city car for every day, designed to emphasize the high position in society of its owner. The SUV is equipped with a gasoline engine with a volume of as much as 5.6 liters and a power of 405 horsepower. The power unit is quite reliable, but not very economical. Even in the combined cycle it can consume more than 14 liters of fuel. The car is available only with an automatic transmission and has a full range of advanced options. It is famous for its spacious interior for 7 or 8 people and a trunk convenient for transporting large cargo.

Jeep Grand Cherokee

Cars of this model became widely known in Russia back in the 90s of the twentieth century. Today they are no longer so popular in our country. But the Jeep Grand Cherokee still has fans. This is not surprising, since the all-wheel drive SUV has incredible cross-country ability and a huge ground clearance of 218 mm. Its speed and power qualities are also impressive. Now the car is equipped only with powerful gasoline power plants. The American's maximum power reaches a record 710 horsepower. However, the car is sold only with automatic transmission. It is considered quite safe and reliable. The car has high fuel consumption and quite expensive maintenance. But at the same time, it is well known to many specialists, and therefore there should not be any special problems with its maintenance and repair in our country.

Amarok

Another Volkswagen is included in our rating of the best cars for use in domestic conditions. But you should expect that the Volkswagen Amarok is a more expensive solution. High-quality content and high reliability have made this pickup truck popular among domestic users.

The price here starts from 1.7 million. At the same time, the basic equipment demonstrates a fairly good set of safety systems and assistants, using which driving becomes much easier and more convenient. The model adds a few points and a solid ground clearance - it is 20.3 cm. For fans of pickup trucks, this option will probably be the most optimal. This vehicle combines excellent appearance and good cross-country ability, thanks to which the driver will feel confident on any road.

Ground clearance and vehicle type are the main connections to the vehicle body

High-quality operation of an SUV has certain differences from the normal use of a small hatchback. We are talking not only about the size, but also about the scope of operation of one or another version of the car body. Many buyers of new and used cars are not too interested in the issue of ground clearance, but then regret that they did not pay due attention to this issue. To understand the difference in the operation of different car body options, you should simply test a car with low ground clearance and then test a car with normal ground clearance. Regarding the different body options, you will get the following impressions:

  • small hatchback - for such a car 120 millimeters of ground clearance is often enough, since the car rarely travels further than well-maintained city roads;
  • B- and C-class sedan needs ground clearance of less than 140 millimeters, since a long wheelbase implies certain operating difficulties;
  • hatchbacks, which are positioned as off-road vehicles, also need a ground clearance of at least 140 millimeters;
  • large cars in the executive segment, represented by sedans and station wagons, must have a minimum of 150 millimeters under the bottom of the car;
  • crossovers and SUVs for asphalt need 160-180 millimeters of ground clearance, since they will have to overcome various troubles on the roads;
  • SUVs have a ground clearance of 200 millimeters, and some have air suspension and the ability to change this parameter.

You can argue with this classification and give examples of quite successful cars that have a lower ground clearance. But often buyers choose cars not based on ground clearance; this indicator is only additional and often does not affect the decision. Therefore, it is best to use a comprehensive selection of a car when purchasing, evaluating each feature of the technical range of applicants. This is the only way you can choose a truly high-quality car with a large number of advantages and positive aspects in operation and with a minimum of disadvantages. Low ground clearance will definitely show itself negatively on domestic roads.

LADA Vesta Cross

Vesta Cross looks like a lifted car compared to other representatives of the LADA model range. The manufacturer put the regular Vesta on higher wheels and put plastic body kits all around so that you wouldn’t mind scratching it with pebbles and branches. As a result, the Russian sedan rose as much as 203 mm and became almost like the Niva!

If the cross-version had all-wheel drive, then Vesta would become a good SUV. But, alas, Vesta only has single-wheel drive on the front axle and two not very powerful engines. But Vesta Cross is suitable for those who do not like crossovers and SUVs, but prefer a station wagon.

The average cost of a model on the secondary market is almost 724 thousand rubles. Every third Vesta is sold without technical and legal problems, every third has unpaid fines, every fourth has an accident and a lien. There are examples after taxis and with registration restrictions.
