Do-it-yourself replacement of lamps in Lada Largus

Any light bulb in this car can be replaced without a visit to the service center literally on the street. You don't even need a special tool for this. The only thing you may need is a flathead screwdriver to remove the lampshades. It is not necessary to remove the headlights.

Replacing lamps in the headlight of Lada Largus

To change the low beam and high beam bulbs, you must:

Remove the plastic cover.
Disconnect the electrical connector.
Remove the rubber boot of the lamp.
Disconnect the spring clip.
Pull out the lamp.

How to replace light sources in Largus taillights

To change the rear light bulbs on a Lada Largus, you need to remove the light from the car.

To do this, open the tailgate and unscrew the two plastic nuts securing the light. After which you can dismantle it and perform all the necessary manipulations:

Remove the electrical connector from the lamp.
Press out the three plastic latches securing the board with lamps.
To replace any of the lamps on the board, press it and turn it counterclockwise.
Install a new lamp and reassemble in reverse order.

Replacing fog lamps on Lada Largus

It is more convenient to replace by removing the front bumper from the corresponding fender liner.

Turn the lamp counterclockwise and pull it out of the PTF housing.

How to change a side repeater lamp

Largus has turn signal repeaters mounted on the front fenders. You can do this by doing the following:

Using plastic or cardboard plates, we squeeze the repeater mounting clamps on both sides.
Remove it from the wing.
Turn the cartridge counterclockwise and remove it from the housing.
Pull the lamp up and remove it from the socket.
Install the new lamp in the reverse order of removal and reassemble.

There is another replacement method. To release the repeater housing clamps, you need to remove the fender liner. However, this method is not very convenient.

Replacement of license plate lamps in Largus

There is nothing difficult about replacing this light source. Just take a T20 Torx and unscrew the screw securing the diffuser.

Next, you just need to pull it out and replace the lamp inside the bumper by pulling it out of the socket. Install a new one in its place and screw the diffuser back.

How to change interior lamps in Largus

The interior of this car only supports the following lights:

trunk;
glove box;
lampshade;
heater control unit.

To remove the interior light bulb, use a flat-head screwdriver to remove the lamp diffuser, then remove the required bulb and install a new one.

The trunk has exactly the same lamp, and therefore the replacement of light sources occurs in exactly the same way.

In the glove compartment, simply pry up the lampshade using a screwdriver. It will fall out and the lamp can be replaced by removing it from the socket.

Place your hand inside the panel and feel the base on the back of the block.
Rotate the desired base 45 degrees and pull it out.
Replace the lamp on it and reassemble in the reverse order.

How to quickly replace PTF?

If the light fixtures we are considering are damaged, then replacing the fog lights will not take much time. Next, we will provide instructions using the example of the left PTF, since all manipulations with replacing the right headlight will be absolutely identical.

We use a Phillips screwdriver as a tool for work.

We operate from under the LADA Largus car quickly without dismantling the front bumper.

First we remove the front fender liner (left).
We press out the latch that holds the cable harness block.
We remove the block itself from the base terminal of the headlight.
Next, unscrew the three screws that hold the PTF in the bumper seat.
We take the headlight out and put it aside.

What to do if the fog lights still don't light up

It often happens that the reason for the failure of the fog light is not a burnt out lamp. What else could cause such a malfunction? There are few such options:

A power surge in the on-board network that caused a fuse to blow . Typically this problem is caused by poor contact between the terminals of the battery, generator, or when turning on/off a powerful load. Eliminated by replacing the fog light fuse with a new one with the same rating.
Oxidation of PTF power terminals and blocks . Identified by visual inspection. All power supplies are disconnected, the contacts are inspected and if there is any foreign deposits, they are cleaned.
Short circuit . It may be caused by the insulation of the PTF supply wire rubbing against the body and shorting to it. In this case, as a rule, the fuse burns out, and replacing it with a new one leads to the same result. The malfunction can be eliminated by visual inspection of the wiring harness supplying the PTF, followed by isolating the damaged area.
Broken power wire . Power wires can either break due to vibration or burn out when shorted to the body. In the latter case, the fuse usually blows. If the new fuse does not blow, but the fog light still does not light, you need to inspect the wiring harness, find and repair the break.
