Injectors
If the motor is running, but liquid is not supplied through the nozzles, then the problem will not be difficult to identify, since there are only a few reasons for this phenomenon:
- clogged injector fittings;
- the supply tube has come off;
- kinking of the tube.
The malfunction can be determined by inspecting the tubes from the motor to the injectors. If there are no areas with kinks and the tube has not fallen off, then the reason lies in clogged nozzles, which can be cleaned with a sewing needle and blown out with a compressor.

For a long time I wanted to collect in one place and summarize information about the equipping of serial domestic cars with such an unfamiliar option as headlight cleaners. Headlight wipers on our cars began to appear in the 70s, at a time when designers began to pay more attention to car safety, in this case active, because clean headlights and their illumination of the road play a significant role in preventing accidents. At first, headlight cleaners (hereinafter - f/o) were installed exclusively on export modifications of cars going to those countries where their presence was a mandatory requirement in those years (for example, Finland, Sweden, Norway, etc.). Then they began to be installed on cars for the domestic market, although only on a small part. The boom of brush f/oes occurred in the 80s - early 90s, after which they gradually lost ground and disappeared from the list of options for our cars... One of the misconceptions is that if a car has f/o's, it necessarily “export version”, for most models this is not the case). It’s just that since, as a rule, cars with the maximum configuration were exported, they can actually be found more often on export versions. I’ll start with AvtoVAZ products, as the most popular in this period.
2101, 2102, 21011 and their modifications
The filters installed on some export cars were made in Sweden; they had an unusual design: the motors were hydraulic and driven by a flow of fluid from the windshield washer reservoir and headlights. The hydraulic motor shafts were hollow; through them, part of the liquid flowed inside the wipers, to the nozzles installed on them. They worked simultaneously with the windshield washer switching on; there was no separate power button.
The roads (like all Russian ones) are dirty and the headlights are constantly splashed with mud, which is why you have to constantly go out and wipe them.
Meanwhile, headlight cleaners from the factory used to be installed on vases, but then for some reason they abandoned this option.
So I decided to install original headlight cleaners on my car. To install them we need:
- Headlight wiper motors 2 pcs (left and right they are not interchangeable)
- two adapter strips (only for 07)
- Brush leads
- Brushes
- Washer reservoir with two pumps
- Five-pin relay (it must be inserted into the fuse block, there is just a place for it)
- Wiring with blocks (I already had wiring from the factory, the blocks are located near the headlights)
